Innovative fibre products and efficient processes

Research and development work of PTS are geared towards using the potential of natural fibres for innovative products. For this purpose, PTS developes papermaking processes leading to the desired paper properties whilst making optimum use of raw materials and energy resources. Moreover, in co-operation with companies paper properties are designed which open up new application areas.

Combinations of natural fibres with other components lead to materials permitting novel applications. Examples for product innovations developed from PTS are highly filled papers with ceramic and metallic properties for light-weight construction materials or papers providing electromagnetic shielding.
