Modelling, simulation and product design

Developing modelling methods and simulation tools for the calculation of paper properties is the key task of PTS. In collaboration with universities and institutes, PTS scientists are doing intense research on the virtual material design of fibre-based materials. The simulation tools developed can be used for the

• Simulation-based optimisation of mechanical and optical paper properties
• Simulation-based optimisation of papermaking processes taking into account material and economic aspects
• Simulation-based development of innovative fibre products

PTS develops customer-specific simulation models and software solutions, provides on-site assistance for their use, or makes its solutions available via the Internet.
