In contract research and consultancy, the PTS staff provides support and assistance, leading firms through the development of new products, enhancing the efficiency of work processes, minimising operating costs, optimising energy and water management, writing and submitting expert opinions and providing assistance in complaint management.

The close connection between contract research and consultancy and publicly funded collective industrial research is a unique characteristic of PTS. Pioneering results are continuously made available to PTS customers. Modern laboratories and pilot plant facilities make it possible to develop products and processes efficiently and at low cost.
