Press Release: Change of Executive Board
Heidenau, 15.11.2018. At its meeting on November 8th, 2018, the Board of Trustees of the Papiertechnische Stiftung (PTS) decided to appoint Mr. Clemens Zotlöterer as sole member of the PTS Executive Board. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Frank Miletzky will resign from the Executive Board. This concludes a planned change within the management of PTS that has been pursued for 2 years. The sole member of the Executive Board effectively passed to Mr. Zotlöterer on November 9th, 2018.
Prof. Dr. Frank Miletzky assumed responsibility for PTS as sole member of the Executive Board in summer 2010, when PTS was faced with existential issues due to the financial crisis and internal structural problems. Within a short period of time, he managed to get PTS out of the red by transforming it into an institute increasingly oriented towards the future issues of the paper industry and focused on innovations in the product area. As a result, PTS was able to successfully further develop its material science and analytical skills as well as its technical centres.
In 2014, PTS was again caught up by its structural problems. The two-location situation proved to be no longer financially viable and the Munich location was closed.
Today, PTS is economically healthy and fit for the future with a young and motivated team. The restructuring objective has thus been fully achieved.
The Board of Trustees would like to thank the outgoing Executive Board member, Prof. Dr. Frank Miletzky, for his great commitment and competent leadership of PTS through the turbulent times. At the same time, he wishes the new sole PTS board member, Mr. Clemens Zotlöterer, and the employees continued success for the future development of PTS.
Mr. Zotlöterer, who has been a member of the PTS Executive Board since 2016, can look back on many years of professional experience in the paper industry, including 10 years with Europapier with stations in Vienna, Ljubljana and Moscow and most recently 3 years with Sappi Alfeld.
