China International Speciality Papers Expo & Conference

The dynamism of China’s economic growth has been without parallel in recent decades; the country’s national economy could overtake even the US to become the biggest one in the world in the years to come. The German Federal government has therefore set itself the aim to help overcome today’s global challenges and support sustainable, resource-saving and environment-friendly developments together with partners from China. With its resource-conserving, innovative technologies, the European paper industry can be at the forefront of this.

China accounts for an impressive share of around 26% of the global paper production. The production of specialty papers plays a key role in the Chinese paper industry, covering a wide spectrum from cigarette papers, fibre mats and filter papers to thermo-papers and release papers for pressure-sensitive labels. The sector grows steadily – it has enjoyed an annual growth of 11 % on average between 2001 and 2015.

Against this background, the China International Speciality Papers Expo & Conference (CISPEC) in Quzhou in the Chinese province Zhejiang will offer German and European companies a unique and ideal platform to gain a foothold in the Chinese specialty paper market. From 17-19 October 2017, the event is expected to attract more than 2000 visitors. 120 exhibitors will present new and innovative products, materials and machines for all parts of the value chain. Admission to the trade fair will be free.

The event will address topical issues of the sector, focusing on new technologies, raw materials, upgrading and finishing methods and equipment as well as global market trends.
