Europes largest meeting point for the paper and board surface upgrading sector: trends, innovations, industrial diversity, and networking platform
Matching KeyNote Speakers and Speakers, 250 participants, 20 lectures, a very well attended exhibitor forum as well as a lively exchange among the participants let the Papiertechnische Stiftung (PTS) as organizer of the 29th PTS Coating Symposium 2019 draw a successful conclusion.
The motto of this years symposium, upgraded - smart - bio, received good response among the participants who listened with great interest to the key note speakers and presenters and gained new insight into bioeconomy, sustainable packaging, barriers and circular economy.
During the two days of the event, the exhibition space was a very busy spot for networking and business talks to discuss the programme topics and make new contacts.
The industrial diversity and internationality of the participants illustrates the significance of the PTS Coating Symposium.

The conference papers covered a wide range of subjects falling within the scope of the motto, ranging from social topics through market trends to new plant and equipment, resources and eventually new products. For instance, Dr. Yannick Vercammen presented new solutions in the field of biowaxes and barriers from Solenis; Dr. Tobias Meckel from TU Darmstadt showed most recent methods of confocal microscopy in an impressive manner while looking into basic mechanisms of liquid transport in papers. The evening programme with the singer Amy Warning and the dinner provided an excellent setting beyond the technical background of the event.
We address our special thanks to the exhibitors and sponsors of the 29th PTS Coating Symposium 2019 for their enriching presentations and exhibition stands.
